Less flooding means we'll all be expecting big things from you in the gardening department. The pressure is on!

Note: I like your idea about trying another computer to see what happens when I try to leave comments. It bugs me that it's only certain blogs where I can't leave comments. Glad your isn't one of them.donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06950476333013336671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5563051087162389665.post-85631181961036990132009-08-07T06:38:26.217-04:002009-08-07T06:38:26.217-04:00Gotta love the afternoon thunderboomers in Florida...Gotta love the afternoon thunderboomers in Florida. We have to pump the water out from the crawl space in the basement. Our neighborhood does not flood like yours, but we live at the bottom of a hill and we have water issues too, will bring this idea up to my husband..Thanks for sharing and I am so glad your water is draining....can't imagine the mosquitoes!!Darlahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09976608531478457839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5563051087162389665.post-49540491389215477892009-08-07T02:14:41.519-04:002009-08-07T02:14:41.519-04:00Thats alot of freaking rain! The before and after pictures have proven it to me. I live in WA so yeah, we get a lot of rain. Summer is usually pretty dry, but it takes almost the entire summer for our yard swamp to dry up. By that time the rains have started again. I think we need to start working on those drains now.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377069690077072368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5563051087162389665.post-16621746280455313802009-08-07T00:02:31.723-04:002009-08-07T00:02:31.723-04:00How interesting! You know, about once or twice a ...How interesting! You know, about once or twice a year our Arizona property floods like that (yes, we actually get cloudbursts in AZ!). Ours dries up quickly, as it flows down "washes" to the river. These washes are like big dry riverbeds that can quickly become treacherous. Last year two people drowned very near our place when their cars were overturned in the water rushing down a wash where it crosses the highway. We have a small wash that runs through our front yard, and I love to watch the little river form during the rain storm.Annie*s Grannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04772261218172078099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5563051087162389665.post-1160856463312922352009-08-06T22:54:37.327-04:002009-08-06T22:54:37.327-04:00Holy Smokes! Fortunately we are on high, very sandy land, so it didn't even puddle except for the road. Look like you fixed your problem!Wicked Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01540250068640733537noreply@blogger.com
