They're Always After Me Lucky Charms

You expected this, right? Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

I couldn't pass up an opportunity to put a cape on a chicken. I'd like to start a holiday chicken cape revolution! Dress up your chickens people!

(I'm so glad Farmer B rarely reads the blog and isn't home when I'm photographing chickens. We have a good marriage and I'd like to keep it that way.)

And just edited to add this little pic of Saffie celebrating St. Patrick's Day!

  7. Sure Melissa!

You know I almost feel guilty for rolling my eyes at the people with dressed up chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers being pushed in doggy strollers at the parade this weekend... As I'm scoffing at them a little voice in my head is saying YOU DRESS UP YOUR CHICKENS - YOU HAVE NO ROOM TO TALK.

So I kept it to myself.

    LOL

  8. Oh, Kate...don't do this to me! I laughed so hard, I had to go change my underpants :-D

Please tell me you didn't dye Saffie green. ;-)

  9. You know, I say this in the kindest of fellow-gardener ways, but perhaps, just perhaps, do you have a wee bit too much free time?

  10. Steph - LOL - throwing that cape on the chicken and taking the photo took me about 90 seconds. And putting a green-colored layer on top of the Saffie photo in Photoshop took about the same amount of time. (I don't sit around sewing these capes from scratch and I didn't actually dye the dog - LOL). I **WISH** I had more free time! But I do like to do little silly things that give me a giggle during my day...

  12. I'm not a bit surprised that you dress the chickens in holiday capes. It's sounds normal to me.

    Luv the photo of Saffie.
