It's Bloom Day Baby!

It’s the 15th of the month - Garden Bloggers Bloom Day . I haven't had anything actually blooming before to contribute to this day, but this time I do. It's not pretty, but it's all I've got and I'm going with it.

We have tomatoes (pictured above) and very droopy sunflowers. These sunflowers were supposed to be mammoth 8 to 10 foot tall sunflowers, but they hit about 3 feet and fizzled out. Well… at least they made a valiant effort. They've attracted some bees to the garden, which is a good thing since we haven't seen any bees before. This makes me think I should always have some flowers planted in the vegetable garden to convince bees that it's the place to be.

Absolutely you should have flowers in the vegetable garden. I don't know about Florida, but in my garden I have sunflowers (like yours), zinnias, marigolds, nasturtiums, for starters.
Thanks for joining in for bloom day,
